Anchor have recently introduced a new range of 3 and 8-strand polyproylene fibre rope into the southern African market. Made to ISO2307: 2010 these ropes offer:
- high breaking strength
- good abrasion resistance
- excellent shock absorption
- better grip
- minimal elongation of 18% at break load
- excellent shape retention
- fully balanced and torque neutral
“We’ve long been a stockist of the Lankhorst fibre ropes such as Tipto8, Euroflex and Euroneema,” explains Peter Minnaar – Operations Director, “we regularly manufacture mooring grommets of 96mm and 120mm for rig moorings and towing operations, but we wanted to expand our offering by introducing an affordable range of polypro. rope without compromising on quality. After a long process of testing samples and negotiating with manufacturers we’ve settled on these ropes.”
All the ropes are supplied with either a Mill or a DNV-GL certificate of test and Anchor’s backing as a long established supplier and service company to the lifting, rigging, marine and offshore mooring markets.
