After a lot of hard work, we’re proud to announce that Anchor industries has reach the highest recognition level for Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) – Level 1.

“Having narrowly missed this level last year, we were determined not to fall short again and so put in extra effort to ensure our skills development, empowerment and enterprise development goals were either met or exceeded,” explains Jessica Coetzee, HR Manager. “BEE sets very stiff targets for generic companies with a turnover above R50m, but we knew that if we worked from March to February and not just in the last few months, we would be able to achieve this level.

As a level 1 supplier, customers are able to claim recognition of R1.35 for every R1.00 purchased under the preferential procurement section as well as recognition under enterprise development for purchasing from a majority black owned company (65.95%), a company which is more than 30% black female owned (30.31%) and a black designated group supplier that is at least 51% black owned.
